Afoot은 가입할 필요가 없는 이동 기록 앱입니다. 개발자(DevPlant)는 여러분의 어떤 개인정보도 수집·저장·전송하지 않으며, 앱이 만든 기록은 서버로 보내지 않고 모두 여러분의 기기에만 남습니다.

1. 앱이 사용하는 정보와 저장 위치

Afoot은 기능 제공을 위해 아래 정보를 기기에서 사용합니다. 모두 기기 내부에만 저장되며, 개발자에게 전송되지 않습니다. (경로 표시 등을 위한 Apple 서비스와의 통신은 3절을 참고하세요.)

• 위치 정보: 이동 경로·거리·고도 기록. 기록은 “앱을 사용하는 동안 허용”으로도 백그라운드에서 이어집니다. “항상 허용”은 기록하지 않을 때도 동작하는 위치 알림에만 씁니다. 등록한 장소의 좌표와 반경도 기기에만 저장됩니다.
• 모션 및 피트니스: 걷기·달리기·자전거·이동을 구분하고 걸음 수·층수·기압을 기록합니다.
• 사진 보관함: 모음의 사진·동영상 기능에서만 사용합니다. 사진과 동영상을 찍은 시각과 위치를 기기 안에서만 읽고, 모음에 든 활동의 시간과 경로에 맞는 것을 골라 붙입니다. 읽기 권한은 모음 화면에서 “이 활동에서 찍은 사진과 동영상 보기”를 누를 때만 요청하며, 사진을 일부만 골라 허용해도 됩니다. 원본은 사진 보관함에 그대로 남습니다. 사진도, 사진에서 읽은 정보도 기기 밖으로 나가지 않습니다. 내보낸 사진·동영상을 저장할 때는 보관함에 추가만 하는 권한을 쓰며, 보관함은 읽지 않습니다.
• 신체 정보: 설정에 직접 입력한 체중·나이·성별. 운동 칼로리 추정에만 쓰이며 기기에만 저장됩니다. 입력하지 않아도 앱을 쓰는 데는 문제가 없습니다.
• 앱 설정: 잠금, 단위, 운동 음성 안내 같은 설정값.

이 데이터는 Apple의 SwiftData와 앱 설정 저장소를 써서 기기 안에만 보관되며, 개발자는 이에 접근할 수 없습니다.

2. 수집하지 않는 것

• 계정·이메일·전화번호·이름 등 어떤 식별 정보도 요구하거나 수집하지 않습니다.
• 분석(Analytics)·크래시 리포트·광고 SDK를 일절 포함하지 않습니다.
• 광고 식별자(IDFA)를 사용하지 않으며, 어떤 형태의 추적(Tracking)도 하지 않습니다.
• 개발자 서버가 존재하지 않으므로, 서버로 전송되는 데이터도 없습니다.

3. 제3자 제공 및 외부 통신

Afoot은 여러분의 데이터를 제3자에게 판매·공유·제공하지 않습니다. 앱이 네트워크를 쓰는 경우는 아래와 같고, 연결하는 곳은 모두 Apple 서비스입니다. 이름·이메일·계정 같은 신원 정보는 전송되지 않으며, 전달되는 것은 해당 기능에 필요한 좌표와 검색어뿐입니다.

• 지도 표시: 경로와 모음 썸네일을 지도 위에 그리기 위해 Apple 지도 서버에서 지도 이미지를 받습니다. 이때 표시할 지역의 좌표 범위가 Apple로 전달됩니다.
• 수역 판별: 이동 구간이 바다나 강 위인지 확인해 배로 표시하기 위해, 그 구간의 좌표 몇 개를 Apple 지도에 조회합니다. 결과는 기기에만 저장됩니다.
• 장소 검색: 위치 알림에 장소를 등록하거나 운동 목적지를 고를 때, 입력한 검색어와 보고 있는 지도 범위, 그리고 지도를 움직일 때마다 핀이 가리키는 위치의 좌표를 Apple 지도로 보내 장소 이름과 주소를 찾습니다. 등록하거나 고른 장소는 기기에만 저장됩니다.
• 내보내기 지도 이미지: 모음을 사진이나 동영상으로 내보낼 때 배경이 될 지도 이미지를 Apple 지도 서버에서 받습니다. 이때 보내는 것은 지도 범위의 좌표뿐이고, 만든 파일은 사진 보관함에 저장하거나 공유하기 전까지는 기기 안에만 있습니다.
• iCloud 사진 원본: 모음에 붙은 사진·동영상이 기기에 없고 iCloud에만 있으면, 화면에 띄우거나 내보낼 때 iOS가 여러분의 iCloud 계정에서 원본을 내려받습니다. 이때도 올리는 것은 없습니다.

위 통신에는 모두 Apple의 개인정보 처리방침이 적용되며, 개발자에게 전달되는 정보는 없습니다.

4. 데이터 보관 및 삭제

• 기록은 여러분이 삭제하기 전까지 기기에 보관됩니다. 앱 내 활동 화면에서 개별 기록을 삭제할 수 있습니다.
• 앱을 삭제하면 앱이 기기에 저장한 이동 기록이 모두 삭제됩니다. 다만 잠금용 암호는 iOS 키체인에 남을 수 있으며, 다시 설치한 뒤 잠금을 끄면 제거됩니다. 개발자에게는 복구할 수 있는 사본이 없습니다.
• GPX 내보내기로 언제든 여러분의 데이터를 꺼낼 수 있습니다.

5. 보안

Face ID 또는 6자리 암호로 앱을 잠글 수 있습니다. 암호는 iOS 키체인에 저장됩니다. 기기 자체의 암호화와 잠금 설정이 데이터 보호의 기본이 됩니다.

6. 아동의 개인정보

Afoot은 만 13세 미만 아동을 대상으로 하지 않으며, 아동을 포함한 누구의 개인정보도 수집하지 않습니다.

7. 변경 고지

본 방침이 변경되면 이 페이지에 갱신일과 함께 게시합니다. 데이터 처리 방식에 중대한 변경이 생길 경우 앱 업데이트 노트로도 안내합니다.

Afoot Privacy Policy

No data collected

Afoot is an on-device movement tracker with no account and no server. We (DevPlant) do not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data. Everything Afoot records stays on your device.

1. Information the app uses, and where it is stored

Afoot uses the following on your device to provide its features. All of it is stored only on the device and is never transmitted to us. (Section 3 lists the Apple services Afoot connects to.)

• Location: Afoot uses it to record your route, distance, and elevation. Recording keeps going in the background even with “While Using the App” access. “Always” is for Place alerts, which work even when you're not recording. The places you save, with their coordinates and radius, are stored only on the device.
• Motion & Fitness: Afoot uses it to tell walking, running, cycling, and driving apart, and to record steps, floors, and barometric pressure.
• Photo library: Afoot uses it only for photos and videos in a collection. It reads the capture time and location of your photos and videos on the device and matches them against the collection's activities and route to attach the ones that fit. Afoot asks for read access only when you tap “Show photos and videos from this trip.” It also works if you give Afoot access to only some of your photos. Your originals stay in your library. The photos, and the times and locations Afoot reads from them, never leave the device. To save an exported image or video, Afoot only asks for permission to add to your library, which doesn't let it read anything.
• Body info: The weight, age, and sex you enter in Settings. Afoot uses them only to estimate workout calories, and they never leave the device. You can leave them blank.
• App settings: Lock, units, and workout voice settings.

Afoot stores this data on your device with Apple's SwiftData and the app's own settings storage. We have no access to it.

2. What we do not collect

• No accounts, emails, phone numbers, or names are requested or collected.
• No analytics, crash-reporting, or advertising SDKs are included.
• Afoot doesn't use the advertising identifier (IDFA) and doesn't track you in any way.
• We operate no server, so there is nothing for your data to be sent to.

3. Third parties and network use

We do not sell, share, or provide your data to third parties. Afoot uses the network in the cases below, and every connection goes to Apple's own services. It never sends your name, email, or account details. It sends only the coordinates and search text a feature needs:

• Drawing maps: Afoot downloads map images from Apple's servers to draw your routes and collection thumbnails. The coordinates of the area being shown are sent to Apple with that request.
• Water detection: To show a trip on the water as a boat, Afoot looks up a few coordinates from that activity on Apple Maps. The result is stored only on your device.
• Place search: When you add a place in Place alerts or pick a workout destination, Afoot sends what you type, the part of the map you're looking at, and the location under the pin each time the map stops moving to Apple Maps to look up the place and its address. What you save stays on your device.
• Export map snapshots: When you export a collection as an image or video, Afoot downloads the background map images from Apple's servers. Only the map area's coordinates are sent. The finished file stays on your device until you save or share it.
• iCloud photo originals: If a photo or video in a collection is stored only in iCloud, iOS downloads the original from your iCloud account so Afoot can show it or use it in an export. Nothing is uploaded.

Apple's privacy policy covers these requests. None of this information comes to us.

4. Retention and deletion

• Recordings stay on your device until you delete them. You can delete individual recordings in the app.
• Deleting the app removes the movement history it stored on your device. Your lock passcode may stay in the iOS Keychain. Reinstall Afoot and turn the lock off to clear it. We hold no copy to restore.
• You can export your data at any time via GPX export.

5. Security

You can lock the app with Face ID or a 6-digit passcode. The passcode is stored in the iOS Keychain. Your device's own encryption and passcode remain the foundation of that protection.

6. Children's privacy

Afoot is not directed at children under 13, and collects no personal information from anyone.

7. Changes

If this policy changes, we will post the update here with a new date, and note material changes in the app's release notes.
